The new Chair of the West Clare municipal district says is accusing Irish Water of 'mothballing entire communities' in the area. It's after a number of houses in Lahinch were refused planning permission due to inadequate sewage facilities in the town. The likes of Ballyvaughan and Kilkee will be waiting until 2024 or 2025 for their infrastructure to be upgraded, with more than half of Clare's towns and villages not having sufficient infrastructure.
