Surah 19 Maryam, verses 24-26 Session 9 As Isa (as) is born he speaks to his mother, Maryam (as). Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ provided Maryam (as) with 'Saree'- a body of water. Ripe or dry dates are the best food for pregnant women. Dates protect against appendicitis. Eating dates on an empty stomach kills worms. Maryam (as) shook the date palm and then the dates fell into her lap. Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) would send oil lamps to Bayth Lahem.
