One Water Race 2023 Recap w/Thomas Ogander

<p>Welcome to episode 194 of the<a href="https://lowtideboyz.com/"> Löw Tide Böyz - A Swimrun Podcast!</a></p><p>On deck this week is our race recap for the 2023 edition of the <a href="https://onewaterrace.com/">One Water Race</a>. To help paint the picture of this epic event we welcome back to the show (for the third time) OG Swimrunner and race director, <a href="https://lowtideboyz.com/podcast/thomas-ogander-one-water-race">Thomas Ogander</a>. Thomas and the team really stepped up their game for the 2023 edition of the race and we can’t wait to share this race recap with all of you.</p><p>But first…</p><p>Training Update</p><p>We have just one race left on the 2023 calendar and we’ve set our “training gaze” to <a href="https://www.odysseyswimrun.com/austin">Ödyssey Swimrun Austin Pace Bend</a> in early November. TBD on what the training will look like but the swimming and running will continue unabated.</p><p>Shoutout</p><p>This week we’re shouting out Andy and the whole team at New England Endurance Events. They had to make the tough call to cancel <a href="https://swimruncapecod.com/">Swimrun Cape Cod</a> this past weekend due to looming Hurricane Lee. I, for one, really appreciated all of their communication during what must have been a huge bummer for everyone involved. The race looked like a lot of fun and it’s already on the calendar for 2024. The race date will be September 21, 2024.</p><p>Feats of Endurance</p><p>This week’s award is probably better named as the FOMO award. Shoutout to everyone that raced <a href="https://www.odysseyswimrun.com/orcas">Ödyssey Swimrun Orcas Island</a> over the weekend.
