Near 100-degree Heat Next 48 hrs; Cools Into 80's Sat-Tue; w/Some Storm Chances; Returns to Hot & Dry Wed-Sat

<p>Today and tomorrow a dome high-pressure remains over the Tri-state area pushing temperatures in the upper 90’s and low 100’s, dewpoints start to lower thus the 105-degree advisory levels will move further to the east and not elevate the ambient temperature locally.  Over the weekend, the high-pressure ridge starts to weaken, and a trough develops over the Front Range, resulting in a return to more zonal and northwest flow over the local area.  This will increase chances for some evening or overnight storms that have the potential to be slow movers with locally heavy rains.   Temperatures will cool into the 80’s and lows around 60.  This trough boundary will linger in the area through Monday and Tuesday.</p>
