Lawmaker’s experience as nurse shapes support for ‘Medical Aid in Dying Act’

Jan. 14, 2021 - Asm. Karines Reyes (D-Bronx) has worked as a nurse treating oncology patients. Today, the Assemblymember joined the program to discuss why she is supporting the Medical Aid in Dying Act, which would allow mentally capable, terminally ill New Yorkers to end their life with medical assistance.
