Johnny ”Z”- R.I.P. Carl Canedy of The RODS remembers his long time friend and brother in Metal.

<p>Megaforce co-founder Jon Zazula — who launched the iconic label, which released the first albums from Metallica, Anthrax and many others, with his wife Marsha in 1982 — died on Tuesday Feb. 1. He passed away in Florida surrounded by his brother, daughters, grand-daughters and friends; he was 69.</p> <p>Tonight Jon "The Vernomatic'' Verno welcomes Carl Canedy of the NY power metal band THE RODS on to reflect on JOHNNY Z's Life in and out of the metal arena. </p> <p>Canedy and Zazula have been friends for over 40 years. Forming both a professional and personal relationship. Canedy reflects back on a friendship that  started in the metal community, but turned the two into "FAMILY".</p> <p>Johnny Z was a true metal VISIONARY. R I P JOHNNY Z.</p> <p> </p>
