Gospel of Luke 23:50 - Prog 104

<p>As we finish up chapter 23 of Luke we begin in verse 50. Luke introduces us to a man by the name of Joseph from the town of Arimathea. This man is written about in the other Gospels as well, Matt.27, Mark 15, John 19 along with Nicodemus. Jesus’ body needed to be buried before the sabbath day started, so there was a need for diligence on Joseph’s part to secure Jesus’ body and place Him in the tomb. As we find out, Joseph placed our Lord’s body in his own tomb which he had cut out of rock himself and a tombstone to roll over the opening.
