The Family Blessing and Faith<br/><br/>Gen 12:1-3 “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.<br/><br/>We find God giving Abraham this blessing, then Isaac, then to Jacob <br/><br/>Ex 20:5-6 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.<br/><br/>Curses and blessings are generational, but the blessing is stronger <br/><br/>Num 23:8,20 “How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.<br/><br/>Is 51:2-3 (nlv) Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who birthed you. When he was but one, I called him. Then I brought good to him and made him many.” For the Lord will comfort Zion. He will comfort all her waste places. He will make her desert like Eden, like the garden of the Lord. Joy and happiness will be found in her. There will be much giving of thanks and much singing.<br/><br/>Faith connects us to His blessing , Faith works through love <br/><br/>Heb 6:12,14-15 (nlv) Do not be lazy. Be like those who have faith and have not given up. They will receive what God has promised them. He said, “I will make you happy in so many ways. For sure, I will give you many children.” Abraham was willing to wait and God gave to him what He had promised.<br/><br/>2. Faith Will Go to Work for us to Produce the Blessing, Don’t Hinder it <br/><br/>Gal 5:6 faith working through love.<br/><br/>1 Cor 13:4-7 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and  thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not p
