From Fatal Car Accident and Abusive Marriage to Published Author and Creating a Foundation with Martha Hoy

She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She was in an abusive marriage.</p> <p>In May of 2018, She had to run for her life with just a suitcase from her home in West Virginia. Everyone in her life turned away from her, but two young men that I had helped as orphans in Uganda. They took her in and kept her safe in Minnesota. Once she felt it was safe and that she was healed, Martha took what was left of her life, a suitcase with a few belongings and went on a journey of self-discovery. One that took her all over the world.</p> <p>Because of what those young men did for her, Martha’s passion to help orphans grew. Two books were written from the story 'Lead with your heart', and 'Enjoy the journey.' Two charitable foundations were formed from my story to help children.</p> <p>What Martha wants people to walk away with from her story:</p> <p>Everything can be taken from us in life, her life was reduced to a suitcase, but one thing: How we choose to respond. She chose to respond with love.</p> <p>It’s not what happens to you it's about how you become.</p> <p><strong>Dreams:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Writing her third book about her life.</li> <li>Bought property in Uganda and they want to build a school, a medical center, and some other things on that property.</li> </ol> <p><strong>How you can Help:</strong></p> <ol> <li>She would love to be seen on the screen.
