Delta: Appeal Court affirms Oborevwori’s victory, dismisses APC petition

<p>The Appeal Court sitting in Lagos State has dismissed the petition filed by Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege challenging the victory of Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for lacking in merit.</p>, <p>Omo-Agege is of the All Progressives Congress, APC, while the governor is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.</p>, <p>A three-member panel of the appellate court handed down the judgement on Friday, thereby upholding the judgement of the Election Petition Tribunal in Delta State.</p>, <p>The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State has congratulated Governor Oborevwori.</p>, <p>In a congratulatory message signed by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Osuoza, he said the victory was another step towards ensuring the steady and continuous implementation of the MORE agenda for Deltans.</p>, <p>The statement reads: “Your Excellency, our leader, it is with unreserved joy, pride and satisfaction, that the entire PDP family in Delta State, offer our hearty congratulations to you, on your well-deserved victory at the Court of Appeal.</p>, <p>“We applaud the judiciary once again for their learned, articulate and well-delivered judgement, which is a further affirmation of what we had already stated categorically and without equivocation, that the PDP overwhelmingly won the 2023 Delta State Governorship election and Rt. Hon.
