<p>Like your second COVID jab [Might get a sore shoulder too]</p> <p><br></p> <p>We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at <a href="http://www.myrise.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.myrise.co.uk</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>If you read these blogs religiously (and, frankly, why wouldn’t you?) you’ll know I had my first COVID jab the other week.</p> <p>As I assume most people will have done, I booked my second one at the same time.</p> <p>For 8 weeks after.</p> <p>I picked what should be a relatively straight forward time.</p> <p>First thing on a morning where we only have two of the kids and my wife should be fine with the school run.</p> <p>Something will probably come up for the same time, but it’ll have to wait.</p> <p>That jab will get done.</p> <p>It’s scheduled and will happen exactly when planned.</p> <p>As it’s framed as a non negotiable.</p> <p>Because it could, potentially, be life saving.</p> <p>My own or others.</p> <p>But, we all know our individual chance of dying from COVID is relatively low.</p> <p>A fairly high portion of us will die younger than we have to due to our diet and lack of exercise though.</p> <p>And, probably, have had a body we like the look and feel of less and lower energy levels and mood along the way.</p> <p>But we don’t see the things that will help with that as being as important, do we?</p> <p>Now, I do get it.</p> <p>I know it’s a bit different.</p> <p>It’s two blocks of an hour or so compared to “the rest of our lives”.</p> <p>But seeing things as a non negotiable is just a choice.</p> <p>The way we frame it in our minds.</p> <p>We could chose to schedule our workouts 8 weeks out and not allow anything to get in their way.</p> <p>More realistically, we’d plan them at the start of the week.</p> <p>And protect them.</p> <p>Sure, they’ll have to move sometimes, unavoidably.</p> <p>But perhaps not as readily as they currently / used to do.</p> <p>If we’re not scheduling them and planning on “fitting them in when I can”……..</p> <p>The
