Brigitte MacGowan – maternity leave and a mothers group friendship led to the globally successful ‘State of Escape’ range

<p>Brigitte MacGowan originally quit her job in agency world to join husband Hamish’s business, a wine company that make the very successful ‘Angus the Bull’ range.&nbsp;</p><p>But it was while on maternity leave and through a chance meeting at mothers group with now best mate Desley Maidment that ‘State of Escape’ was born.&nbsp;</p><p>The brands signature ‘Escape bag’ soon earned cult status here in Australian and now seven years on the iconic neoprene tote bag is a much-loved fashion staple the world over.
