<p>October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and there is some new information you should be aware of.</p> <p>Because of the rise in breast cancer cases in women in their 40’s, the <a href="https://www.uspreventiveservicestaskforce.org/uspstf/sites/default/files/inline-files/uspstf-who-we-are-how-we-work_1.pdf"><strong>U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF or Task Force)</strong></a> as released the new adjusted age recommended guidelines for women, advising them to start screenings/mammograms at age 40, no longer age 50, as previously suggested.</p> <p>Women ages 40-54 are urged to have a mammogram every two years. </p> <p>Tune into to this episode of the Partners in Health and Biz podcast as we recognize Health Literacy during the month of October, and let’s all get smarter about Health and Wellness for our minds, bodies and spirits.</p> <p><br></p> <p> </p> --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gail-dixon-mcbride/message
