Amotekun arrests ex-convict for burglary, theft

<p>The operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a 40-year-old man, Rufai Wasiu, for burglary and phone theft.</p>, <p>Confirming the arrest to journalists in Osogbo on Thursday, the Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, said the suspect, who specialises in house burgling and stealing, was arrested after a complaint was lodged.</p>, <p>“The suspect was arrested in Osogbo after burgling a house and stealing phones by the operatives after a complaint was lodged at our Osogbo command about his atrocities.</p>, <p>“The suspect confessed to committing the act and had been jailed for the same act in the past.</p>, <p>“The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution,” Adewinmbi said.</p>
