25.10: Genesis 42-45: Joseph's Dreams Come to Life as His Brothers Now Need His Help

<p>The story of Joseph and his brothers is one of &nbsp;the most popular Bible stories. It’s been a Broadway play and a movie. &nbsp;But it’s more that just a good story. It holds a powerful lesson about &nbsp;God’s will, His plan, as well as, trusting God no matter what.</p> <p><a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/05/09/genesis-38-41-dreams-and-schemes-and-a-favored-son-josephs-story/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">So far in our story.</a>.. &nbsp;God gives Joseph two dreams where his brothers are bowing down to him. &nbsp;That was the last straw (pun intended) for his bros and they beat him &nbsp;up, threw him in a dry well, and sold him to some cousins. Then, they &nbsp;lied to their father telling him Joseph was dead. Sin, over sin, over &nbsp;another sin.</p> <p>In the meantime, Joe is taken to Egypt and sold to Potipher, who &nbsp;promoted him to main steward of his house. However, Potipher’s wife &nbsp;wrongly accuses him of attacking her and he’s sent to prison where he &nbsp;finds favor with the jailer. He later finds favor with Pharaoh by &nbsp;interpreting his dreams of 7 years of prosperity followed by 7 years of &nbsp;famine and is entrusted with storing all the grain of Egypt and it’s &nbsp;distribution.</p> <p>Well, that famine was all over the world, including Canaan where Joe’s family lived.</p> <p>Let’s dig in to the rest of the story.
