On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: In a virtual meeting with G7 world leaders, President Joe Biden updated everyone that he is sticking with his August 31st deadline to get US troops out of Afghanistan and wrap up the massive airlift evacuations. As the evacuation of Americans, and those who helped the US, continue in Afghanistan, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are reacting to the latest news. Republicans continue to question the Biden Administration's decision making. A group of Republican lawmakers discussed the crisis in Afghanistan this morning, Republican Representative from Georgia, Jody Hice, gives us more insight as to what the group wanted Americans to know. Democrats in the House are moving ahead with HR4, a bill that includes a provision looking to reinstate Department of Justice pre-clearances that can change voting laws for states with a history of racial discrimination.
