1777: Juba Mayor: On going demolitions are intended to give the city a new look

<div><br> </div> <div>The Mayor of Juba city says that the ongoing demolition exercise of makeshift structures and buildings constructed on road reserves is meant to reorganize the city. <br> <br> </div> <div>In an exclusive interview with Radio Miraya, Kalisto Lado, said the operation is part of the city’s master plan to elevate it to international standards and give it a descent and organized look.<br> <br> </div> <div>He says the exercise will continue. <br> <br> </div> <div>The city council has recently come under public criticism on allegation of excessive use of force and abrupt demolition of structures without prior notice <br> <br> </div> <div>In response, Mayor Kalisto says a lot of public awareness was done prior to undertaking the exercise.<br> <br> </div>
