16 Messianic Psalms Part 1: Finding Jesus in Songs & Prayers of the Past

<p>The purpose of the Old Testament is not only to tell the story of the Israelites, what God did for them and how they rebelled. Its true purpose is to predict the coming of the “anointed one” or Messiah, who would bring not just salvation to a broken world, but justice and everlasting peace. Moreover, there are 16 psalms that are considered Messianic Psalms, with all or part of them undoubtedly proclaiming the coming Messiah — Jesus. In the first of a 2-part special Sunday Pslams series, I present the first 8 of them. As I do more studies, I will link the rest of them. I’ll be reading from the New Living Translation (NLT).
