The American Dollar

Post-rock/ambient music duo the American Dollar were formed in Queens, New York in 2005 by John Emanuele (drums/keyboards) and Richard Cupolo (guitars/keyboards). The duo's moody, evocative instrumental soundscapes have been used as incidental music for numerous television shows and movies, and the group has played concerts across the globe. The American Dollar's self-titled debut album, a collection of warm, melodic rock instrumentals with subtle electronic elements, was self-released by the group in 2006. Slightly mellower follow-up The Technicolour Sleep arrived the following year
