Most people who visit Thailand are initially impressed by how differently Thais behave than Westerners. At first Westerners seem to find these differences charming. The people are so polite, smile so easily, and appear to be so happy, so soft, so warm. After Westerners live in Thailand for a while, some of these differences turn onto problems, issues that Westerners have a hard time understanding and accepting.
