Jonah, probably the most well-known bible story in the world, but is it more than just a bloke being swallowed by a fish, how is it relevant to us today; we can ask a lot of questions about the text in Jonah but what questions does the text ask of us? For me I love it when history brings the scripture alive, so there will be a bit of that in this study, but it’s more important for me that studying the bible is not an academic exercise but a journey that impacts my world as I look at His story. The book’s style, content and reflective questions are designed to get you both comfortable with the God of Jonah (and the rest of us on the planet) and at the same time challenge you to the core, so that there’s nothing you can do but surrender yourself to him for divine character surgery.
