A Kooky Little Road Trip of a Well Crafted Life

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take off on an endless adventure and never come home? There have been so many junctures in my life where I thought I should write this story. Many times, I didn’t because I knew it wasn’t completely written yet. Other times I didn’t do it because it wasn’t mine to tell. Over time it became too vast and complex to explain. Incomprehensible. Unbelievable. Impossible. Improbable. Crazy. And then the part of the story that wasn’t mine to tell became something that only I could tell. In the years of this evolution, I shrunk away from my own life and consciously accepted the traveling circus I had become. The story. The truth of this journey. Over fourteen years of living a nomadic, homeless life. This journey spans over 40 years but the story itself spans over 80. For over 14 years, we traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, in nine vehicles, with six kitties, selling arts and crafts to survive, and chasing countless elusive ghosts. From the art culture of Santa Fe to the islands of the Intracoastal Waterway, Amish Country in Pennsylvania, Colonial Williamsburg, the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, sugar cane fields of Louisiana, corn fields of Nebraska, to Hollywood, Los Angeles, and back to the dust and tumbleweeds of west Texas and New Mexico where our journey began.
